Run the check step by step

  1. Activate the dedicated test area and keep focus inside it.
  2. Press and release keys while the visual layout and event details update.
  3. Exit test mode or reset to clear the session history.

How to read the result

A key should change state once on press and once on release. If only one app misses it, investigate that app’s shortcut or layout before assuming hardware failure.

What the browser cannot prove

  • Fn, power, system shortcuts, and some media keys may be intercepted before the browser sees them.
  • The displayed layout is a browser event map, not a guarantee of the physical keyboard legend.
