Internet Speed Test

Understand what a reliable download, upload, ping, and jitter test requires.

Dedicated nodes required No fake static-file result Infrastructure status
Local by default
Your test data is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded.
Infrastructure not configured

Production infrastructure required

XZETO will not turn a cached static download into a misleading speed score.

P3 infrastructure gate

Reliable speed testing is not active

A trustworthy test needs monitored regional nodes, cache control, capacity budgets, upload disposal, rate limits, abuse protection, node health, and cost alerts. Those services are not configured in this project.

Capacity monitoringNot configured
Abuse protectionNot configured
Data-use estimateRequired before launch
What remains available
Use Browser Device Diagnostics for local capability checks or WebRTC Test for explicit local ICE gathering. Neither claims to measure bandwidth.

Troubleshooting

If the result is not what you expected

1

Use a secure page

Sensitive browser APIs normally require HTTPS or a localhost development origin.

2

Check privacy controls

Browser, extension, VPN, firewall, or enterprise policy can block a capability.

3

Retest deliberately

Start network activity only after reading the privacy and data-use explanation.

Method

How it works

  1. A production test must select a monitored, capacity-controlled regional node.
  2. It must warm up, measure latency and jitter, then transfer random download and upload bytes.
  3. This deployment reports infrastructure readiness instead of fabricating a result from a cached file.
Browser limitations

What this result cannot prove

  • Dedicated multi-region nodes, no-cache controls, rate limits, abuse protection, and cost monitoring are not configured.
  • Wi-Fi, VPN, routing, distance, device load, and concurrent traffic would affect any eventual result.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the Internet Speed Test private?

The page explains any network activity before it starts. Raw device input is never included in analytics.

Why can browser results differ from another app?

Browsers, operating systems, permissions, device routing, and background load can all change what is exposed and measured.
